Project Overview: Custom Website

Kristen came to us with a clear sense of the clients she served, kids and their parents on one side of her practice, and neurodivergent adults on the other, but her existing website wasn't quite doing justice to either. What she needed was a more cohesive story and a site that could hold both sides of her work without one getting lost behind the other.

Kristen also came in with something many clients don't: a beautiful collection of imagery she genuinely loved and wanted the site to showcase. Paired with that, she wanted her personality to come through clearly in the visuals, yes, but especially in the brand voice. The challenge was pulling it all together into one cohesive narrative: services that felt clearly connected under one practice, while still standing on their own for the very different audiences seeking them out.

The Heart of the Project

A lot of our early work happened before we ever touched design. We spent real time helping Kristen sharpen her niche and articulate her services in a way that felt true to her clinical work and approachable to the people she wanted to reach. That meant untangling what made her work with children and parents distinct from her work with adult neurodivergent clients, but also finding the throughline that made them unmistakably part of the same practice.

From there, we developed a brand voice that let her personality come through on every page, warm, thoughtful, and grounded, without slipping into clinical distance. We built the design around the imagery she already loved, giving those photos room to breathe and set the tone rather than getting buried behind text or crowded layouts. Each service was given its own dedicated space to speak directly to the client it's meant for, whether that was a parent researching support for their child or an adult neurodivergent client looking for a therapist who actually gets it. Rather than blending everything into one general pitch, we let each service breathe while keeping the overall site feeling like one cohesive whole.

The Strategy Behind the Scenes

The structural choices we made served both clarity and connection. Giving each service its own dedicated page meant that a parent and an adult neurodivergent client could each land somewhere that spoke directly to them, without wading through information meant for someone else. It also gave each specialty its own home for search engines to understand.

The cohesive brand voice ties it all together. A visitor moving between service pages, the about page, and the contact page experiences one consistent personality (hers) which builds trust well before anyone reaches out. Kristen's imagery does its own quiet work here too, carrying her warmth and sensibility into every corner of the site so the visuals and the voice reinforce each other. And by strengthening the niche upfront, every page on the site now works harder: the clients who land there recognize themselves quickly, and the ones who aren't the right fit can tell just as quickly, which protects Kristen's time and energy as much as it serves theirs.
