Aspenglow Therapy

Project Overview: Custom Website

Melanie came to us through a referral from a previous client. The two of them co-host a group program for chronic pain, and when Melanie mentioned she was ready to build out her private practice, her colleague pointed her our way. It's the kind of introduction we love, and it set the tone for the whole project.

When we first connected, Melanie had a simple landing page and a resource list of meditations, but nothing that truly represented the private therapy practice she was growing in Colorado. Like many of the clinicians we work with, she wanted to reach more of the clients she's best suited to serve — and she knew that meant having a site that could actually speak for her. She envisioned something earthy and natural, a design that would highlight her practice name and her Colorado roots while feeling as grounded and warm as the work she does.

The Heart of the Project

Together, we designed and developed a fully customized seven-page website for her practice, which specializes in chronic illness and pain, grief, and major life transitions. A big part of our work was helping Melanie hone in on and name her specialties clearly. Not as a list of services, but as an honest reflection of who she serves best and why.

That included weaving in her own story: after a serious head injury forced her to leave a lifelong career in foreign service, Melanie navigated chronic health challenges firsthand. That lived experience shapes how she sits with clients facing illness, loss, and unexpected life changes, and we wanted the site to honor that narrative rather than tuck it away.

The Strategy Behind the Scenes

Every choice, from the site structure to the copy, was made with the goal of helping the right clients find Melanie, understand her work, and feel confident taking the next step toward therapy. We wrote clear, human-centered copy that reflects her clinical voice, answers common questions with clarity and care, and makes reaching out feel a little less daunting.

Structurally, the seven pages were organized so that someone arriving in the middle of a hard season (living with chronic pain and anxiety, grieving, or facing a major life change) could quickly recognize themselves in her specialties and see a path forward. The design supports this too: earthy, natural, and unmistakably Colorado, so the site feels less like a brochure and more like an extension of the therapy room itself.
