About Alexis Ryan | Founder of Healing Hearts
The work you do matters. And I'm here to help you extend your reach even further.
Before becoming a therapist and starting this venture, I spent more than a decade in design, marketing, and business development, helping both corporate and smaller mission-driven businesses bring their work to life online.
My approach blends strategic marketing with narrative depth, values-based branding, and the relational presence I bring to therapy. I move slowly and thoughtfully on every custom wesbite project I’m fortunate enough to work on, really taking the time to get to know you and everything that make your private practice unuiqe. This means not only exploring your identiy as a therapist or helping professional, but also everything that make you you outside of the therapy room. While I'm still an active, practicing therapist, most of my time these days is dedicated to Healing Hearts.
A little more about me…
I show up fully human. Messy, imperfect, and unafraid to share pieces of my own life along the way.
I'm a neurodivergent creative, married to a fellow neurodivergent goofball, and most of the clients I still see in my own therapy practice are neurodivergent, queer, and/or sensitive high achievers. I attend a weekly Jungian processing group and can spend hours in deep, philosophical conversation, but I'm also just as happy reading a spicy romantasy novel or being silly with my friend’s kids. I also care deeply about social and environmental justice, and often work with fellow clinicians who feel similarly.
Outside of work, you'll find me spending hours roaming thrift stores on the weekend, checking on my veggie garden several times a day (as if I can actually see the plants growing), going on slow walks with my furbaby, reading and writing fiction, or falling down Reddit threads about whatever story has my attention that day. Oh and I’m a total LOTR, Star Wars, and Marvel nerd… At heart I'm really just an introverted homebody who’s happiest spending quality time alone, in nature, or with my husband, family, and a (very) small circle of incredible friends.
Behind the Scenes
While I handle all creative decisions and custom work for the studio, I also have an amazing admin who helps me manage projects and small edits or business tasks on the backend. I know executive function isn't my strong suit (thank you anxiety and ADHD) , but I will always do my best to deliver projects on time and communicate openly and honestly. My husband also jumps in occasionally when I need tech suport or we’re collaborating on a custom app or digital product (either for HH or for a website client).
