Link Therapy

Project Overview: Custom Website

Lacy reached out to us in a position a little different from many practice owners. Her large, multi-location group practice wasn't hurting for clients. What she needed was a website that could finally keep up with them. With a team of roughly twelve therapists and a second location in the works when we first met, the practice had outgrown its site: locations, specialties, and values weren't clearly represented, calls to action were easy to miss, and the entire team lived on one long single page rather than having individual pages where clients could really get to know each clinician.

Like many of the clinicians we work with, Lacy wanted the new site to feel warm and inviting — but also true to the practice's original identity: nature-based imagery, an earthy color palette, and a look that stayed a little moody and artsy. Most importantly, it needed to reflect the communities at the heart of their work, including neurodivergent folks, LGBTQIA+ clients, and other marginalized identities, as well as the team's many creative approaches, including art therapy.

The Heart of the Project

We took our time with this one, intentionally. Lacy was juggling a lot, including opening a brand-new location, so we moved at a pace that felt comfortable for her rather than rushing toward a launch date. Steadily, piece by piece, we built a comprehensive site worthy of the practice.

Each clinician received their own dedicated bio page, written in first and second person rather than the distant, clinical-sounding third person. These bios were designed to help readers genuinely connect, highlighting what makes each therapist unique and human, not just a list of credentials. We also created individual specialty pages for the practice's most sought-after and distinctive areas of focus, while making clear that the team welcomes people from all walks of life and works across many modalities.

Behind the scenes, we handled a manual blog transfer from her previous Squarespace site, which was running on a very old version of the platform, and rebuilt everything on an updated foundation that's easy for Lacy and her team to manage and update on their own going forward.

The Strategy Behind the Scenes

Every decision served the practice's next chapter, not just its current one. Dedicated values and philosophy pages, separate from the team page, weren't just about telling the practice's story; they were built to support grant applications that look for specific criteria, giving the practice clear, citable pages that articulate who they are and what they stand for.

The individual clinician pages and specialty pages also do quiet strategic work: they give each therapist and each area of focus its own home, making it easier for the right clients to find the right fit — and easier for search engines to understand the depth of what the practice offers. Clear calls to action throughout guide visitors toward reaching out, while the earthy, artful design ensures the site feels like the practice itself: grounded, creative, and genuinely welcoming to every person who lands there.
