Project Overview: Homepage Redesign
Brooke initially reached out with plans for a full website redesign. However, after a shift in his business direction and investment priorities, he decided to scale back—but still wanted to make meaningful updates to support his marketing efforts. We focused on finding a solution that balanced impact and budget.
Since the homepage is often the first page visitors see, and serves as a map to the rest of the site, we agreed it was the best place to start. The goal was to make the homepage more visually engaging and strategically aligned with Brooke’s updated goals, while maintaining consistency with the existing interior pages.
I always prioritize flexibility—whether that’s working within a set budget, spacing out updates, or creating a plan that can grow over time. In this case, we kept the option open to update additional pages in the future, building on the refreshed homepage to create a cohesive and effective site over time
Old Site
Brooke’s original site was clean and simple—but in trying to appeal to everyone, it ended up feeling a bit too generic. It wasn’t immediately clear what the business offered or who it was meant to serve, which made it hard for visitors to really connect or take the next step.
When we chatted, we talked about how important it is for a homepage to do some heavy lifting—clearly sharing who you are, what you do, and why it matters, all in those first few seconds. From there, we focused on refining his messaging, highlighting the most important offerings, and creating a homepage that feels more intentional, aligned, and true to his brand. It’s a strong starting point, with plenty of room to grow and build out the rest of the site down the road.
